DYLAN ANNOUNCES 2024 LIGIER EUROPEAN SERIES CAMPAIGN

Australian Racing Driver Dylan Young has announced he will compete in the full 2024 Ligier European Series with the Italian-Romanian Smart Driving Team.

Young will pilot a Ligier JS P4 in the all Pro Class with a soon to be announced team mate across the 6 round Championship which features the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. The Ligier European Series serves as a key stepping stone to the European Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship.

After a successful single seater career, Young made the switch to endurance racing in 2023 and quickly adjusted to the different style of racing as he looks to set up his future in Le Mans prototypes.

His performances saw him recently become a Global Brand Ambassador for Marbanc International who will be a major partner this season.

Joining the fold as a major supporting partner will also be Boxer Brewing Co. The Aussie craft brewery is expanding into Europe and will utilise the collaboration to showcase Australia’s passion and dedication to beer making and good times, all synonymous with the excitement and teamwork of motorsport. Teaming up with Dylan will also allow Boxer Brewing to promote responsible drinking and deter people from drink driving.

Dylan will also be powered for the fourth year running by nutrition brand My Muscle Chef with other partner announcements to follow.

The 2024 Ligier European Series kicks off at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain on April12-13 before making the short trip to the Paul Ricard Circuit in the south of France from May 3-4.

From there, the championship stays in France and heads to the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 9 before the summer break. Action then resumes at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium from August 23-24 and for the first time in the series history it will venture to the heart of Tuscany at the Mugello Circuit on September 27-28. The Championship then concludes in style at the Portimao circuit in Portugal on 17-19 October.

Dylan Young:

"Being pumped for this season is a massive understatement. I can’t thank everyone behind the scenes who has helped to bring this together and for my incredible partners who have come onboard. Marbanc International, Boxer Brewing Co. and My Muscle Chef are all on this journey with me towards Le Mans and I’ll have to keep my mouth shut for now about some other partners who will be jumping onboard before we go racing."
"I feel last year was a good insight for me into the differences with endurance racing after switching over from single seaters and so I feel prepared to go all out on this season. I’ve got full faith in the team and some awesome improvements have been made over the off season. I just can’t wait to get to work now and am ready for the busy year ahead!”
