YOUNG BACK ON TRACK IN DUBAI

Melbourne racing driver Dylan Young will be hoping to build upon his successful 2018 MRF Challenge season as he returns for the 2019 Championship which kicks off at the Dubai Autodrome in the United Arab Emirates this weekend.

The 15-race MRF Challenge features Dallara chassis Formula 3 cars with a highly competitive international field, racing at speeds in excess of 240km/h and the first 5 races of the season will be held on the 5.39km Dubai Autodrome Circuit from November 21-23.

Young stood on the podium twice last season, narrowly missing the win in Race 2 of the final round in India after starting from pole position. His experience of the cars and circuits should put him in a strong position to improve on his 2018 season where he finished 6th in the Championship standings out of 18 drivers.

Dylan will be flying the flag for Australia before eyeing off a European campaign in 2020, but with opportunities also on offer from newly founded Australian Championships.

Jumping onboard Young's season and career is new partner The A Team Property Group and they join existing supporters Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat, IntelliTrac, Bizzow, Forum Group, ORCA, Besser + Co Estate Agents, Designsport, Seek, UMS, Winning Appliances, Last Lap Media, Pure Scot and Grip Auto.

The 2019/2020 MRF Challenge will commence in Dubai with 5 races from November 21-23, before heading to the Bahrain International Circuit in support of the FIA World Endurance Championship on December 12-14 (4 races) and finishing up at the challenging MMRT Circuit in Chennai, India on February 14-16 (6 races).

"I can't wait to jump in the car on Thursday for practice and get stuck into it! The focus this year was on a European campaign which has now shifted to 2020 so it's been frustrating to be out of the cockpit for a while but I'm really confident in my ability to produce some strong results. It's common for me to be going up against European drivers with much more seat time and budget but I'm really proud to over deliver each season with limited resources and I'll be doing everything possible to continue to stand on the podium and bring home some more silverware."

"Hopefully this will provide some momentum into a busy 2020 where there's a lot of opportunities on the table."

"Finally, I want to thank all my partners and investors for their continued belief in me. It means so much to have their support and I would like to welcome Sasha and The A Team Property Group onboard. We're really excited to team up moving forward!"
