Dylan Young will return to the Dubai Autodrome next week after receiving an invitation to race in the 2018/2019 MRF Challenge Championship before eyeing opportunities to compete in Europe in 2019.
The 15-race MRF Challenge features Dallara chassis Formula 3 cars and the season will kick off from November 15-17 in Dubai with an action packed five races.
Round 2 (Races 6-10) will be held at the Bahrain Formula 1 Circuit from December 6-8, where Young had his most successful round on the podium in 2017.
Young has strong experience of the MRF Formula 3 cars, and finished a strong 8thin the Championship standings out of 19 drivers for the 2017/2018 season. Young will be flying the flag for Australia as he continues to move closer to finalising an option to compete in Europe for the 2019 season.
Dylan’s races will be backed by newly found partner Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat along with continued support from existing sponsors IntelliTrac, Besser + Co Estate Agents, Forum Group, Designsport, Seek, Urban Maintenance Systems and Boost Mobile.
“I’m really excited to jump back in the cockpit,” Young said.
“It’s nice to receive the invitation from MRF to compete in the Championship as I’ve been heavily focused on the 2019 season in Europe.”
“This is a hugely competitive series and obviously I am coming up against European drivers who have a lot more budget and have been racing around the clock this year but like previous years I’m really confident I can produce the results. After an extended layoff last year I was straight onto the podium in Race 1 so I’ll be doing everything I can to repeat that straight away next week. I want to extend a huge thank you to my team of sponsors and investors for believing in me and allowing me to take up this opportunity.”
Dylan Young is proudly supported throughout his MRF Challenge campaign by:
Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat, IntelliTrac, Besser + Co Estate Agents, ORCA, Forum Group, Designsport, SEEK, Urban Maintenance Systems and Boost Mobile.
