DUBAI TROUBLE FOR DYLAN

Melbourne racing driver, Dylan Young had a troubling weekend in round 2 of the 2017/2018 MRF Challenge Championship at the Dubai Autodrome from December 7-9.

Young had a stunning opening round in Bahrain just three weeks ago where he stood on the podium in third place and was fighting at the front. However, strangely Young could not find the same pace in Round 2 and had a best finish across the four races of 10th out of 18 cars.

The result is all the more confusing for Dylan as the Dubai circuit was the scene of his best results in the previous two seasons. He and the team are now working hard to find out the reason for the drop off before Round 3 (Races 9-12) of the Championship which will be held this weekend at the Yas Marina F1 Circuit in Abu Dhabi from December 14-15.

"I'm disappointed at how things went in Dubai to be honest," Dylan said.

"After having such a strong opening weekend in Bahrain on the podium, I was really confident going into Dubai but for some reason the pace wasn't there. Sometimes you have an off weekend and I'm putting this one behind me as I know I have the pace to fight at the front."

"I'll be working really hard with my team to analyse what went wrong and how we can ensure I bounce back in Abu Dhabi this weekend. I can't wait to get back in the car at one of the best circuits in the world!".

Races 9-12 of the 2017 MRF Challenge Championship will take place at the Yas Marina F1 Circuit in Abu Dhabi (December 14-15). The final 4 races will take place on February 2-4 at the MMRT Circuit in Chennai, India.
