“It’s been a long year and there were some difficulties behind the scenes that put a stop to me jumping into GP3 or Auto GP earlier this year,” Young said. “However, most people know by now I’m a pretty tenacious guy and it’s been flat out since the start of the year to keep my dream alive. I’m over the moon now to be getting back behind the wheel in what is a really competitive international Championship. I have so many people to thank for believing in me and I’m grateful for the support of all my sponsors. I’ll be giving it everything I’ve got for maximum attack with the support of Australia and especially Melbourne on my shoulder!”
